My Artifacts

Hi! Welcome to the artifacts section of my electronic portfolio! These are my first, second, and third projects from this semester! Project one has been refined since the original submission (per assignment instructions) to show my growth as a writer and how I can utilize peer review, enjoy!

Project 1

This was my first project in the class, it is an investigative field essay on my topic about social media and body image in young girls. It incorporates my own thoughts with six scholarly articles.

 

The document to the left isn't my original draft of project 1; it is a polished draft that I used peer reviews to perfect, as per the directions of my assignment! For reference, the original draft of this project can be found below this text. 

Project 2

 

For my second project in this class, I conducted an "Artifact Analysis" of two sources. The first was a scholarly article, and the second a TEDx Talk. 

 

I compared and contrasted the two sources, talking about what each provides and the specific audiences they are intended for and will impact the most.

 

Project 3

 

This is my third project, a multigenre persuasive campaign. I created three different artifacts to showcase my point. 

The first artifact I created is an email to the TikTok CEO urging him to implement specific policies to improve this issue.

For the second artifact, I created a body positivity-themed Instagram account page that promotes self-love and body positivity. (feel free to zoom in on the posts!)

For the third artifact, I created a journal entry from a young girl who is impacted by the effects of social media.
